How is my portrait hand-drawn and coloured?
Your portrait begins with a careful, hand-drawn sketch on the iPad. This digital medium allows for a fluid and precise drawing experience, ensuring every line and curve contributes to capturing the essence of the subject. A significant advantage of using the iPad is the ease in which revisions can be made. This means I can adjust and refine the drawing based on your feedback, ensuring the final piece meets your approval.
Once the drawing is perfected, I move on to the colouring phase. This is where the drawing really comes alive with the vibrant hues and subtle shadows. Every stroke of colour is applied by hand, on the iPad, building up layers to create depth, texture and realism. Whether it is the warmth of their fur or the sparkle in an eye, each element is thoughtfully rendered to bring out the beauty and character of your custom piece. The digital format allows for a vast palette of colours and blending options, giving me the freedom to achieve a rich, nuanced finish.

How does it work?
Place your order: Just choose your delivery month from this section, select the size you would like, then proceed to checkout.
Share your photos: After you have made your purchase, please send me a message, using the contact form at the bottom of the page, with your own high quality images and order number. Please look at the Reference Image Guide for help choosing your pictures, you are also welcome to send multiple images and we can chat about which would make the best portrait.
The magic happens: I then carefully, digitally, hand-draw your pet portrait on the iPad, dedicating time to capture your pet’s unique personality. The final artwork will be messaged back to you for checking where you can suggest minor changes.
Printing and Finishing: Once you have approved your artwork, it will be printed using pigment inks onto high quality, 100% cotton, heavyweight art paper to ensure longevity. The back of the image will be stamped and signed to show authenticity alongside a certificate of authenticity. It will be mounted (A4 and A5 only) and packaged in an archival-sleeve before being gift wrapped.
Delivery: Your finished portrait will be posted directly to your door, using tracked delivery, ready to be framed and displayed.
