Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before commissioning a portrait. By proceeding with a commission, you agree to be bound by these terms.

‘The Artist’ refers to Artysketcher - Sophie.

1. Commission Process

  • How to Commission: Commission slots are released on the first Sunday of each month for the next available month. Please check the purchase page for availability and delivery month.

  • Sending Photos: On placement of an order, reference pictures should be sent using the contact form at the bottom of any page. Remember to include your name and order number so we can link them to your purchase.

  • Hand-Drawn Work: All portraits are hand-drawn digitally using an iPad. This method allows for versatility and adjustments throughout the creative process.

2. Payment

  • Full payment is required on placement of the order to secure your commission slot.

  • All prices are as stated on the purchase page and are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Once an order has been placed that price will not alter unless the customer changes said order or requests add ons.

3. Delivery

  • Delivery Timeline: When you purchase your commission, the expected delivery month will be clearly stated.

  • Specific Dates: If you require your commission by a specific date within the stated delivery month, please contact us as soon as you have placed your order. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, it cannot be guaranteed.

  • Shipping: All commissions are printed and not digital files. Physical prints (if offered) will be shipped to the address provided during the order. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times for physical prints will be specified at the time of purchase.

4. Revisions

  • Minor revisions are included in the commission price. Significant changes beyond the initial scope may incur additional fees.

  • Revision requests must be made upon receiving the initial draft.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Due to the personalised nature of commissions, all sales are final once work has begun and non-refundable.

  • If you wish to cancel an order before work has commenced, please contact us immediately. A refund may be considered, less any processing fees.

6. Copyright and Usage

  • The artist (Artysketcher) retains full copyright to all commissioned artwork.

  • Commissions are for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from the artist.

  • For commercial commissions please send a direct message to further discuss.

  • The artist (Artysketcher) reserves the right to use commissioned artwork for promotional purposes (e.g., on social media, website, portfolio), unless specifically requested otherwise by the client in writing.

  • By submitting your images, you confirm that you either own the rights to them or have obtained the necessary permissions for their use in your Custom Portrait.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must provide clear, high-quality reference photos that accurately represent the subject(s). The quality of the final portrait is highly dependent on the quality of the reference images provided.

  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact and delivery information.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • The artist (Artysketcher) is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delay caused by third-party shipping services.

  • If any damage occurs during transit, please contact the artist and send photographs. A new portrait will be printed and sent out.

  • While every effort is made to ensure client satisfaction, the artist's interpretation of the subject is final.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
