More than a house, it’s your story, beautifully captured.
A custom, digitally, hand-drawn house portrait is a unique, handcrafted piece of art that transforms your cherished photos into timeless keepsakes. Unlike mass-produced prints, it’s a deeply personal creation.
Using the iPad as my canvas, allows for a fluid and precise drawing experience. A significant advantage of using the iPad is the ease in which revisions can be made. This means I can adjust and refine your house portrait based on your feedback, ensuring the final piece meets your approval. Every stroke of colour is applied by hand, on the iPad, building up layers to create depth and texture. Whether the beautiful reflections in the window or the shadows created by a bay window, each element is thoughtfully rendered to bring out the beauty of your home.
What Makes My Portraits Special?
Your chosen photograph, infused with my unique style, takes the final product beyond a mere likeness, to an image full of atmosphere that captures the true spirit and character your house.
Hand-drawn Perfection: Each house portrait is meticulously hand-drawn on the iPad, taking hours of focussed care and attention to capture the unique character, textures and architectural details that make your home one-of-a-kind.
High-Quality Materials: From iPad to print, I use only the very best! Pigment Printer inks for long-lasting prints and 100% cotton paper for a premium look and beautiful texture.
Personal Connection: Providing good quality, detailed reference images of your house is the single most important step. Send us your favourite photos, and we will work together to choose the perfect reference image that showcases your home. Please see below an Image guide to help you provide the best images to work from.
The Perfect Gift: The perfect gift for a loved one or even a treat for yourself! A house portrait is the perfect gift because it uniquely taps into the deep, emotional bond between a person and their home!
How does it work?
Place your order: Just choose your delivery month from this section, select House Portrait and size, then proceed to checkout.
Share your photos: After you have made your purchase, please send me a message, using the contact form at the bottom of the page, with your own high quality images and order number.
The Drawing Commences: I then carefully, digitally hand-draw the linework of your house. This will then be messaged to you for checking and approval.
The magic happens: The colouring process is then started, time is taken to carefully layer every detail, ensuring the textures and architectural details of the house are captured. The final artwork will be messaged back to you for checking where you can suggest minor changes.
Printing and Finishing: Once you have approved your artwork, it will be printed using pigment inks onto high quality, 100% cotton, heavyweight art paper to ensure longevity. The back of the image will be stamped and signed to show authenticity. It will be backed with card and packaged in an archival-sleeve before being gift wrapped.
Delivery: Your finished portrait will be posted directly to your door, using tracked delivery, ready to be framed and displayed.
Unfortunately due to the personalised nature of custom orders, I am unable to offer refunds.
Reference Image Guide
The quality and detail of your reference images directly determine the accuracy and richness of the final portrait.
Multiple Angles (A, B and C see below): If possible take one picture from the straight on view (B), one slightly to the left (A) and one slightly to the right (C) to provide me with more of the detail and shape of the home.
Optimal Lighting: Take the picture on a bright when the sun isn’t facing the camera as this can steal the details. However sunlight can create some beautiful shadows on your house when the sun is pointing at the building.
Clear and High Resolution: Ensure the main photo is high-resolution, sharp and in focus so I can clearly see all the architectural details.
Unobstructed view: Ensure nothing is blocking the house (e.g. cars, bins etc).
Detailed Close-ups: If specific details are hard to see in the main picture, please feel free to take close up pictures and send these over too.
